I am the founder and editor-in-chief of Closet on the Go. I studied International Relations in Athens and moved to the UK in 2001, where I studied for an MSc in Banking and for an MSc in Risk Management. During my studies I worked in retail, and soon after I was running one of the most luxurious departments in the most exclusive department store in the world, Harrods. I had the unique opportunity to work with top fashion designers such as Gucci, Christian Louboutin, Casadei, Valentino and Dolce & Gabbana while our clientele included international celebrities, footballers and VIP’s.
In 2011, I returned to Greece and while I was unpacking my stuff, I realized how many duplicates of shoes and ties I had. I suddenly had the need of an online closet so that I could view and manage my items, no matter where in the world I was. Meanwhile, during my studies, I read Marie Antoinette’s biography and I was impressed by the fact that the queen had a wardrobe book, which contained sketched patterns, fabric swatches and descriptions of every single ensemble she had in her wardrobe. Using pins to indicate her choices, the enchanting queen used this book to preplan what she would wear during the course of her day. This lead to the birth of Closet on the Go.
Closet on the Go
Closet on the Go is the most enjoyable way to find and purchase the right fashion items online. It’s easy, quick and rewarding
It allows you to create your online closet by uploading pictures of items you already have and style outfits in the ‘Dressing Room’, where you can find the best mix and matches with the items you are about to purchase.
With Closet on the Go you are always sure you make the right style choices. It enables you to become your own personal stylist instantly by creating your different looks whilst on the go. It’s the future of online shopping.
During 2014, I re-launched the brand and introduced a Fragrance line under my own label. There are currently two scents 'Sillage Royal' and 'Sillage Suave' by Manos Gerakinis, intended for those men and women who want to leave a long lasting impression.
I really do love fashion and my personal moto is “Fashion is a way of expression without words”, so use it to brighten your lives, to make each moment as beautiful as it should be.
